Notification Settings
Overview
Notification settings allow you to control how and when the Vodia PBX system sends you email notifications about voicemails, missed calls, and other important events.
Getting Started
To configure your email notification settings, navigate to the Notifications section of the settings screen. You'll need to have a valid email address to receive notifications.
Email Settings
Email Address
Enter the email address where you want to receive notifications. This should be a valid email address that you check regularly.
Voicemail Notifications
Choose how you want to receive voicemail notifications:
- No Email Notifications: No notifications will be sent when you receive a voicemail.
- Plain Text: Receive a plain text email notification when you receive a voicemail.
- With Attachment: Receive an email notification with the voicemail audio file attached.
Voicemail Option
Determine what happens to voicemails after they are emailed to you:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Keep as New | The voicemail remains marked as new in your voicemail box. |
Mark as Read | The voicemail is marked as read in your voicemail box. |
Delete | The voicemail is deleted from your voicemail box after being emailed. |
If you select "Delete," make sure your email system is reliable, as this will be your only record of the voicemail.
Missed Call Notifications
When enabled, you'll receive an email notification for calls that were not answered.
All Call Notifications
When enabled, you'll receive an email notification for all calls, including answered calls.
Status Change Notifications
When enabled, you'll receive email notifications when your extension status changes.
Mailbox Full Notifications
When enabled, you'll receive an email notification when your voicemail box reaches its storage limit.
Blacklisted Call Notifications
When enabled, you'll receive email notifications when calls from blacklisted numbers are received.
How to Save Your Settings
After configuring your desired notification settings, click the Save button to apply your changes.
Troubleshooting
- If you're not receiving email notifications, verify that the email address is correct.
- Check your spam or junk folder if notifications are being sent but not appearing in your inbox.
- Ensure that your email server is not blocking emails from the PBX system.
