Profile Picture Editor

Overview​

The Profile Picture Editor allows you to upload, adjust, and customize your profile picture in the Vodia PBX system. You can upload an image, zoom in or out, rotate, reposition, and crop it to create the perfect profile picture that will be displayed throughout the system.

Getting Started​

To access the Profile Picture Editor, navigate to your profile settings. The editor appears as a square interface with image adjustment controls underneath.

How to Upload a Profile Picture​

You have three ways to add a new profile picture:

  • Click the Select button and choose an image file from your device
  • Drag and drop an image file directly onto the editor area
  • Copy an image and paste it into the editor area (Ctrl+V or ⌘+V)

Only image files (JPG, PNG, etc.) are supported. Other file types will be ignored.

How to Adjust Your Profile Picture​

After uploading an image, you can customize how it appears using these controls:

Positioning the Image​

  • Click and drag directly on the image to reposition it within the circular frame
  • The image will move in the direction you drag, allowing you to center the important parts of your photo

Adjusting the Zoom​

  • Use the Zoom slider to increase or decrease the size of your image
  • Move the slider right to zoom in (making the image larger)
  • Move the slider left to zoom out (making the image smaller)
  • Zoom range is from 1x to 5x magnification

Rotating the Image​

  • Use the Rotate slider to adjust the angle of your image
  • Move the slider right to rotate clockwise
  • Move the slider left to rotate counterclockwise
  • Rotation range is from -45° to +45°

How to Save Your Profile Picture​

Once you've positioned, zoomed, and rotated your image to your satisfaction, click the Save button

The system will create two versions of your profile picture:

  • A smaller thumbnail (150x150 pixels)
  • A larger version (250x250 pixels)

A confirmation message will appear when your image has been saved successfully.

The circular crop overlay with grid lines helps you align facial features. Position eyes approximately along the top horizontal line for professional-looking results.

How to Reset Adjustments​

If you're not happy with your adjustments:

  • Click the Reset button to return the image to its original position, zoom, and rotation
  • This does not delete your image or cancel the upload, it only resets the adjustments

How to Delete Your Profile Picture​

  1. Click the Delete button
  2. A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to confirm deletion
  3. Click "OK" to permanently remove your profile picture
  4. The system will revert to the default profile icon

Troubleshooting​

  • Image doesn't appear after upload: Ensure you're using a supported image format (JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.)
  • Changes not visible elsewhere in the system: After saving, you may need to refresh other pages to see your updated profile picture
  • Image appears distorted: Try using the reset button and make smaller adjustments, or use an image with a more square aspect ratio
