AEi
Version 69.5.5 onwards support AEi hospitality phones. This includes automatic provisioning, setting timezones and encrypted calls.
Before provisoning phones, the PBX needs to have the MAC addresses loaded into the tenant. The vendor and model should be included. For bulk import, a CSV file can be used, for example:
00:0E:43:D6:21:51;503;Room 503-1;AEi;SLN-9110
00:0E:43:D6:21:52;504;Room 504-1;AEi;VM-8208
Locating the PBX
The phones will default look for DHCP option 66. This option should be set to "scheme://address" on the DHCP server, where the scheme is the transport that should be used and address is the address of the PBX. There is no need to set the option 67 for the filename and this option should remain empty, so that the phone can use its MAC address in the filename.
- If the PBX has a valid certificate, the scheme should be set to "https" and the address the DNS name for the PBX. Unless the port is not 443, there is no need to include the port number.
- Otherwise the scheme should be set to "http" and the address the DNS name or IP address for the PBX. Unless the port is not 80, there is no need to include the port number.
- If it is not possible to use a scheme in option 66, the address should just b eset to the IP address of the PBX. The phone will then load an initial configuration over TFTP and then automatically switch to HTTP or HTTPS.
Instead of using option 66, the "Server" setting in the phone "System Settings" can be set to the address of the PBX, including the scheme. In order to log in to the phone, use port 8000 for HTTP. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "1234". The "Path" should not be set and "DHCP OPTION 66" should be turned off. This is useful for test environments and deployments with just a few phones; however for large scale deployments the DHCP server should be used.
When the phones are fetching the configuration from the PBX, those MAC addresses need to be in pairing mode. This is indicated by blinking red dots next to the MAC address in the device management page.
Buttons
The phone speed dial can be set through the button interface of the PBX. The main devices offer 10 speed dial buttons (Base 1-10), however depending on the model, not all buttons migth be physically available. For DECT devices, there are additional buttons available (DECT 1-26).
General Parameter
The general parameter is available for customization of the phone. This parameter should be used for specific customization, e.g. setting speaker volume or VLAN assignments.
