Release Notes 5.3.1
snom phone provisioning: We did a major rework of the snom phone provisioning. This add more models to the list of supported devices, including the D765 and D725; but it also uses less files for the provsioning. It provides new default software images with newer firmware releases from snom.
Missed calls in hunt groups: This topic was discussed several times on the forum. We finally give up our resistance and allow domain administrartors to send missed call notifications to the phones that were part of the hunt group, even though that might mean that customers get called back multiple times. The new feature can be controlled for each stage of the hunt group.
Password changes: There were several changes in the password area. First of all, users can now have the PBX send password reset emails, so that they can login to the PBX if they have access to their email accounts. The other feature that we have added is a password history, so that users have to pick different password when they change them.
Yealink: We have added zero-touch provisionnig for Yealink phones using their RPS service. This feature is useful for hosted PBX providers that operate Yealink phones.
Inbound call billing: We have added a rule that makes it possible to bill also for inbound calls. In scope of that work, there were some bugs in the billing area in 5.3.0 that were fixed with that.
Extension calls hangup: There was an issue that was hard to reproduce that could calls to an extension to get randomly hung up. This was caused by a timer that was not cleared when the extension was connected.
Busy Lamp Field: When extensions are on DND, the BLF field is now turned on. Although there is no call going on, it provides better information to the user.
Domain administrator: The flag for editing dial plans was ignored in the domain mode.
Anonymous calls: When a phone was sending the Privacy: id header, the PBX had problems identifying where the call came from.
Call Recording: The call recording display code is now also available in the user web interface.
ZRTP: Call hold is now also possible with ZRTP.
T.38: For the SPA ATA, we now by default allow T.38 detection.
