PBX Snapshots
PBX Snapshots
The Vodia PBX includes a snapshot feature that allows you to easily capture the current state of your PBX and restore it when needed. This feature is available on version 70 and later, and is supported exclusively on Linux operating systems.
Before generating a snapshot, the system will automatically check if there is more than 20% free disk space available to ensure sufficient storage capacity.
Creating a Snapshot
To create a snapshot of your PBX:
- Click the Add button in the snapshots interface
- Optionally, rename the snapshot to something meaningful for your reference
- Click Save to create the snapshot
The snapshot will be stored in the PBX working directory for future use.

Restoring from a Snapshot
To restore your PBX to a previous snapshot:
- Select the desired snapshot from the list
- Choose the Restore action
Restoring a snapshot will restart the PBX service. Before proceeding with the restore, the system will automatically create a backup of your current configuration. This auto-backup will be available in the snapshots list for recovery if needed.

Deleting a Snapshot
To remove a snapshot you no longer need:
- Select the snapshot you want to delete
- Choose the Delete action
Snapshot Storage Location
Snapshots are stored in the PBX working directory at the following path:
/usr/local/pbx/.snapshots/snapshots/
This location is within your standard PBX installation directory and should be included in your regular backup procedures.
