CarPlay
When your iPhone is connected to a CarPlay-enabled car, Vodia Phone appears on the car's display. You can take your extension on the road: call colleagues, return missed calls, listen to voicemail and have messages read out — all through the car's screen and controls.
The CarPlay app has four tabs:
History
Your call history with direction (incoming, outgoing, missed), date, time and duration. Tap an entry and confirm to call the number back.
Extensions
The extensions of your domain with their number and current status. Tap a colleague to open their contact card, where you can Call them or — if messaging is enabled — Text them. Texting is handled by Siri: dictate your message and Siri sends it, so your eyes stay on the road.
Voicemail
Your voicemail messages, with new ones marked. Tap a message to play it over the car's speakers. The player screen shows the playback progress and offers:
- Play / Pause
- Call back — return the call with one tap
- Close — stop the playback
Voicemail playback is not available while you are on a call.
Chat
Your recent conversations with unread indicators. Message handling in CarPlay is voice-first: new messages can be announced and answered through Siri, so nothing needs to be read on screen while driving.
Calls
Placing a call always asks for a confirmation first, and the app verifies its connection to the PBX before dialing — if the PBX is not reachable, you get a short notice instead of a dead call. Incoming calls ring through the car like any phone call, and the active call uses the car's native call screen with its usual controls.
The phone keeps doing the actual work — CarPlay is just the display. If something doesn't connect, check the app on the phone first (see Troubleshooting).
