Cliniko Integration

The Vodia PBX can be integrated with Cliniko, a powerful practice management software that enhances the way medical practitioners handle their patient interactions. By integrating the Vodia PBX with Cliniko, healthcare providers can instantly access patient records, medication information, and appointment details.

Requirements

To successfully integrate Cliniko with Vodia PBX, you will need Vodia PBX version 69.5.4 (Beta) or above. Follow these simple steps to complete the integration.

  • Log into Cliniko: From the dashboard, click your name at the bottom left, then select My Info.
  • Generate an API Key: Scroll down to the API Key section and create a new API key named ‘VodiaAPI’. Ensure you save the API key in a secure location.
  • Configure the PBX: Navigate to your Vodia Administration panel, select your tenant, go to Advanced >> CRM Integration, and choose the scope of the integration. The scope can be customized by modifying Groups under Settings >> Groups.
  • Set Up Your Extension: Log into the extension you wish to use for the integration. Click the image in the top right corner, then select Settings.
  • Link Cliniko to Vodia: Scroll down to the Cliniko tab, enter your API key and the Cliniko URL you used earlier.

You are now ready to receive calls on your Vodia PBX while accessing patient details, appointments, and medication information through Cliniko.

User Portal Experience

Once configured, the integration surfaces patient information directly in the Vodia user portal:

  • When a call comes in or goes out, the user portal displays the matching patient record for that call.
  • Clicking the patient entry takes you directly to their Cliniko account, letting you review their information before you even pick up, or add notes during the call.
  • Each call is automatically logged as a memo in the patient's Cliniko communications, recording the time of the call, from/to numbers, inbound/outbound direction, and duration.
  • Missed calls are logged in the same way.
  • If a call is transferred to or from another agent, the memo notes "Transferred from/to [agent]".
  • If the call was recorded, the recording URL is included in the memo. Note that Cliniko's communication details field doesn't support HTML tags, so the URL must be copied and pasted into a browser to play the recording.
