Cloudbeds intergration
Cloudbeds is a property management system in the cloud. Vodia PBX integrates with it to make the phone system experience seamless with the hotel room check-in, check-out and other functions.
How to set it up
There are steps from Cloudbeds side and Vodia PBX side.
Steps from Cloudbeds side
- Create an account in Cloudbeds.
- Go to the Cloudbeds marketplace.
- Find Vodia app and install it under your account created in step 1.
- Vodia will receive an email regarding the Vodia Tenant you are using for your phone system in the hotel or property.
- We will send you the API key and property id.
Steps from Vodia PBX side
- Go to your tenant on Vodia PBX by clicking on it.
- In that tenant, go to Advanced->Hospitality.
- In the field "Protocol Type", select Cloudbeds.
- In the field "URL prefix for receiving messages", set a password like long secret string (keep it secure), that will be used by Cloudbeds to contact the PBX.
- In the field "Settings", set

, where API_KEY and PROPERTY_ID are values provided to you in the email by Vodia explained above. - Set the rest of the settings as needed and Save.
- In the Room Settings tab, you can set other preferences, including the dial plans to retrict or allow guest calling. Dial plans are explained under Dial plans.
What it will do
When a room is checked-in, the corresponding extension will be enabled, checked in and set for making and receiving calls. The name of the guest will also be set. The external calls can be restricted (restrictions of international calls for example etc.) through the dial plan selection. If the "Billing plan" for different destinations has been set in admin mode in the PBX and assigned to your tenant under the tenant plan, then the call charges can also be posted to the Cloudbeds room by the extension according to the duration of the call and the billing plan selected. When a room is checked-out. The corresponding extension in your tenant in Vodia PBX will be reset (cleaned) and disabled. All call logs, history, chats, and voicemails etc. will be deleted.
